It started in 2011 with a college student taking an assistant property manager gig. Fast forward to 2015: she and her husband launched their own company, growing it from 14 doors to over 1,000 before a successful sale. Along the way, they ran investor support groups, led teams of 15+, served as COO of a multi-million-dollar firm, and built generational wealth through real estate themselves.

Born the middle child of three girls (“destined to be the perfect middle man”), our founder thrives on solving tough problems with calm, forthright solutions. Today, Tejas Private Money carries that same investor-first DNA—protecting your portfolio like it’s our own.

Lexi found her footing in property management while studying at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, splitting her time between education classes and hands-on work as a property management assistant. She’s since served as property manager, co-founder, and COO of a multi-million-dollar firm overseeing 1,000+ doors and teams of 15+. Her background in teaching shows up in her work every day—clear communication, calm leadership, and the ability to guide owners and residents through complex, high-pressure situations with structure and care. Together, they run Tejas Private Money with an investor-first lens, treating each property like a long-term asset and each owner relationship like a true partnership.


Matthew started in real estate at 18 and never really stepped off the field. He was named Rookie Realtor of the Year in 2016, earned his master’s degree from Texas A&M in 2018, and has since acquired over $120M in real estate. As broker of an investment-focused real estate firm and co-founder of Tejas Private Money, he brings a “real estate is a team sport” mindset to every portfolio—helping investors buy, sell, and strategically grow from single-family homes to larger multifamily plays.

Lexi is a mom to two boys, George (7) and Louie (5), who keep her outside and on the move—biking, swimming, rollerblading, and exploring every corner of Central Texas they can reach before sunset. Home is full of fresh bread in the oven, hot-tub chats, and “work nights” at the kitchen table where she and Matthew dream, plan, and pray over their next steps. Travel, long conversations, and building deep relationships light them up, and all of that spills back into how they show up for their owners, residents, and team.



Off the clock, life looks a little more dusty-boots and kid-chaos than boardroom and spreadsheets. Matthew is just as happy around a backyard grill as he is in a closing room—talking faith, family, and the future over good Texas BBQ, sneaking in deal talk between coaching the boys and swapping stories with friends. Weekends might mean a drive out to look at land, a quick fishing trip, or a spontaneous road adventure that somehow still circles back to real estate and community.
